Byers Engineering Company Acquires Randstad Communications

Atlanta, GA, April 2, 2007 - - Byers Engineering Company (BEC) announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Randstad Communications (RC) from Randstad North America (RNA).


Byers Helps The Rail Network (TRN) take MARTA to the Cutting Edge

Atlanta, GA - February 23, 2005 - Atlanta's rapid transit system, MARTA, will deploy televisions on all of its trains in Atlanta this Spring, using an innovative new technology developed by the Atlanta based firm, TRN. Programming will feature half-hour local newscasts interspersed with commercials. Byers Engineering Company was proud to partner with TRN to provide network design and project management services in support of this effort. MARTA may be the first in the country to deploy this technology and transit authorities across the nation are watching to see how the program is received.


Byers Opens New Field Offices in Louisiana and Mississippi

Atlanta , GA , January 3, 2005 - Byers Engineering Company announced that it has opened new field offices in Mandeville , LA and Gulfport , MS to answer demand for Outside Plant Design and Right of Way Acquisition services along the Gulf Coast . Byers has had a presence along the Gulf Coast since the early eighties with offices in Mobile , AL and Jackson , MS , but increased activity in the area dictated a need for additional resources in the area. Elaine Majure will manage the location in Gulfport and Vicki Cummings the site in Mandeville. Both are long term associates of the firm.


Byers Partners with Crown Castle Solutions Corp. and The CompTran Group to Deploy Distributive Antenna System for Hilton Head Plantation

Hilton Head, SC - December 17, 2004 - Byers Engineering Company provided planning, design, and project management support to the ComTran Group in its successful construction of a Distributive Antenna System (DAS) Network for Crown Castle Solutions Corp. customers in Hilton Head Plantation on Hilton Head Island. DAS technology, utilizing fiber fed micro antennas, allows for the implementation of cellular networks where a traditional network design (cell towers) is either not feasible or unacceptable to the local homeowners. Construction was completed on time and with minimal disruption leaving Hilton Head Plantation as peaceful and beautiful as ever, but talking.


Byers Engineering Company Obtains PON Certification

Minneapolis , MN - January 17, 2004 - Byers Engineering Company obtained Level I, Passive Optical Network (PON) design certification through Optical Solutions. Byers sought the certification to strengthen its service offerings in the expanding Fiber to the Home/Curb arena.


Byers Engineering Division Secures Agreement to Provide Technical Services for Duke Energy

Charlotte, NC – January 20, 2003 – Byers Engineering Division announced it has secured an agreement to provide technical services to Duke Power Company in North and South Carolina. Byers Engineering Division Teams with Fishel, NPL, and BPG Designs in Completing AGL Networks Phoenix Build

Phoenix, AZ – December, 2002 – Byers Engineering Division teamed with NPL, BPG Designs, and Team Fishel in completing AGL Network’s (AGLN) Phase I Build in Phoenix and Tempe, AZ. The project involved the design and deployment of sixty miles of underground fiber optic cable and extended AGLN’s streak of never missing a client deadline for deployment. All members of the team were invited to and enjoyed a “team party”, sponsored by AGLN in the Phoenix area, to celebrate the accomplishment.
